On Wednesday, 13th August 2025, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, led a strong delegation of Community Development Associations (CDAs), the Community Development Committee (CDC), artisans, and other grassroots stakeholders to the Year 2025 Building Control Engagement Forum at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island.
The forum, hosted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, carried the theme: “The Need for Strict Adherence to Building Codes and Regulations.” The workshop emphasized proactive measures to prevent building collapses across Lagos State, focusing on safety, quality, and compliance in urban development.
During the session, Mayoress Bada reaffirmed her administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives, protecting properties, and promoting safe, standard development across Ikosi-Isheri LCDA. By walking side-by-side with residents and key community stakeholders at such critical engagements, she continues to demonstrate that true leadership is not just about making policies—it’s about being present with the people and working for the collective good.
Her message resonated with the spirit of shared responsibility: every builder, developer, and resident has a role to play in ensuring that structures within our communities are safe, compliant, and resilient.
