FEBRUARY EDITION: MAYORESS’ MONTHLY FOOD PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION – OPERATION FEED THE ELDERLY, WIDOWS, AND PLWDS
The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, in her ongoing commitment to uplift the most vulnerable, successfully carried out the February edition of Operation Feed the Elderly, Widows, and PLWDs at the Senator Adebayo Osinowo Hall. The event saw hundreds of elderly residents, widows, and persons living with disabilities (PLWDs) receive food packages that are essential for their well-being.

In heartfelt words, Mama Folake Adeyemi, a 75-year-old widow, said, “Each month, the Mayoress remembers us. Her kindness means we no longer feel abandoned.” Mrs. Janet Okon, another widow of four, expressed, *”With this support, I can feed my children without worrying where the next meal will come from.” Mr. Suleiman Ahmed, a visually impaired resident, remarked, *”This program shows that the Mayoress truly cares for us. She doesn’t just talk; she acts.”

The Mayoress, visibly moved by the impact of the program, assured the beneficiaries that she would continue to prioritize their needs and work towards ensuring no one in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA is left to struggle alone.
