Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada was born on December 28, 1973, to the late Alhaji Olatunji Raheem Bada and Chief Mrs. Afolakemi Bada (JP). She attended Moslem Primary School, Odogbolu; Odogbolu Grammar School; and Ajao Estate High School, Anthony Village, Lagos. She obtained a Diploma in Marketing from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Planning from Lagos State University, Ojo, a PGD in Social Works (2012/2013), and a Master’s in Social Works (2017/2018).

 

Princess Bada worked briefly at the Town Planning Office, Kosofe Local Government, and later attended Gateway Catering Institute. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish Predema Catering and Boutique Services, providing exceptional services in catering and hotel management.

 

Her passion for politics led her to join the Alliance for Democracy (AD), which later transformed into the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and eventually the All Progressives Congress (APC). In recognition of her dedication and loyalty to party issues, she was nominated by APC as Vice Chairman, a position she held until 2014. During the 2015 General Election, she served as Director of Mobilization for the APC campaign team in Lagos State. Her unwavering passion and efforts earned her a second term nomination as Vice Chairman in 2017.

 

Princess Bada played an active role in the Lagos State Conference 57 of Vice Chairmen (Lasavic) and was unanimously elected Chairman by her peers, a position she held until 2020 when she was sworn in as the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA. She was elected in 2021.

 

Beyond politics, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada is dedicated to serving humanity by putting smiles on people’s faces, especially the less privileged. This dedication led her to create the Foundation for Improved Livelihood, an NGO aimed at improving lives.

 

Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. She was honored with the chieftaincy titles of YEYESEWA of Ilara Kingdom by Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, TELADE IV, Oluomo of Kosofe Land by HRM Oba Samuel Alamu Kehinde Onikosi Edun Arobadi I, Yeyeoge of Ijanikin by HRH Oba Dr. Momodu Afolabi Ashafa Onijanikin of Ijanikin kingdom. She has also received several national and regional awards, including the Rootswatch National Award 2024 for the Most Distinguished Local Government Chairman in Nigeria (Infrastructural Development and Social Welfare category), the Special Achievement Award by City People Award 2021, the award for “Pillar of Support for Humanitarian Services” in 2023, and in recognition of her outstanding service to humanity and development of the community, the Award of Excellence from Rotary Club of Magodo Central in 2021.
